Episode 201: Gatsby Gives Me Pertigo

Hey Kats and Kittens!

After the craziness of the 200th episode, we get intellectual this show. We discuss The Great Gatsby and the American Dream, as well as art museums like the V & A and the MOMA.

But don’t worry – we get silly, too, thanks to our dear listener Ian who sent us an awesome, giant book of British slang. THANK YOU!!

Enjoy the show. Try not to get pertigo while you think of our pert little bottoms!

Episode 199.92: Hindencast Redeux

From the archives of 2011 Episode 92, we bring you Hindencast Surprise.  With special guests, Hendrix, Luder, Alphabox, H.R. RapeNStuff, and lots of raunchy humor.

Tonight, we are in Ice Station C, getting things ready for tomorrow’s live show.  We’ve been putting our brains and bodies to work.  We hope that our efforts are successful, and that we will be able to entertain our friends and make them laugh so hard that they snort their beverages of choice, out of their noses.  (that’s YOU!)

Episode 198: Mesmer Smells

Hello there fair internet traveler!  Spring is here, the bulls have ran, and we’re back for more internet adventures.  Only 2 episodes away from our 200th episode, and we’re hoping that you can join us out on our Ustream channel.

This week, we’re reading your emails!  If you’d like to send one in to be read on the show, you can do that at tmpgoti at gmail dot com.

Now, let’s have a cocktail!

The Cinco De Mesmer

Looks like: Weird!

Tastes Like: Berry-fizzy-yum-yums

Serves 2!

You’ll need:

  • 1 Cocktail shaker with 6 ice cubes
  • 2 tall boy glasses with 4 ice cubes
  • 3 oz silver tequila
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 3 oz pomegranate juice
  • 3 oz of Kinky
  • 12 blueberries
  • Sparkling water or Sprite, depending on how sweet you want it

Pour all ingredients except sparkling water and blueberries into cocktail shaker. Shake and pour into 2 tall boy glasses. Top with sparkling water/Sprite and 6 blueberries each and stir.

As the carbonation catches to the blueberries, they will rise to the top and eventually bob back down – sort of like a pink and purple polka-dotted science experiment that you can drink!.

Episode 177: Games as Art

Grab a beverage of your choice and settle in. This week, Cassandra reminisces about E.T., and  I confess that a seemingly innocent drunken dungeon crawl created more mayhem than I bargained for, in Guild Wars 2.

This week, we are proud to feature’This Love is a Robot’ by ‘The Efts‘, a husband and wife team who make beautiful geeky music together, all because they love to.  Please check out their website and allow your ears to enjoy what they have created.

After the break, grab your monocle, we attempt to get highbrow for an entire 10 minutes. Are Games Art?  One art critic at The Guardian doesn’t seem to think so.

I say!  Back in my day, we would never have allowed these evil images created by an internet machine, into the hallowed halls of our museum! Now, why don’t you two old birds stop partaking in the spirits and just ankle around back to the kitchen to bake me a cake?

Last but not least, we hear from the community as we read your emails and tweets.  Always, if you have a note for the show, please email us at tmpgoti@gmail.com and prepare to hear your email on the air.

Episode 176: Get it on! Play some Pong! Get it on!

Hey, Kats and Kittens!

Here’s another episode to keep you warm on these cold December nights.

This week was the 40th anniversary of Pong, so we talk a walk down memory lane about our first experiences with gaming.

We also have a special treat in the form of a new Awkward Erotic Fan Fiction. *evil grin*

:)

A Message From The Most Popular Girls on the Internet

Hey, Kats and Kittens,

This is a short message to let you know that we have decided to take a break. We had equipment problems and my computer ate the show, so we decided since Tara’s going to be gone in a couple weeks that it’s a good time to take a break from recording and editing.

Love you in the face!

Episode 147: Twenty Tucans?!

It’s episode 147! This week:

  • Cassandra is revving up for Dorkapatwoza!
  • Peter Molyneux leaves Lionhead and Microsoft to persue his own adventure with 22Cans. No, not twenty Tucans.
  • The members of the creative team for Rainbow Six Patriots, have been removed from their project, not “axed from Ubisoft” as some games journalists have proclaimed. In an interview with GameInformer David Sears says, “I’m not dead” which, is totally what I would say, too.

Also. we talk about:

  • Mass Effect 3 user reviews vs. journalist reviews – oh, the disparity!
  • I don’t think I am in love Mass Effect 3 as much as I liked Mass Effect 1 or 2 but, for some reason, I can’t stop playing it. What do they put into this shit?
  • Cassandra and I get into it over Jessica Chobot’s voice work for Bioware, the controversy that followed fueled some fan rage. (Why, oh WHY?)

Episode 146: Sexual ARISment

Hey, Kats and Kittens, it’s a long show this week because we’ve been gone for two weeks and had lots of catching up to do! We talk all about our weekend away to see Atmosphere in Rochester, MN, as well as catching up on all the gaming and viewing we’ve been doing.

In the second half, we talk about sexual harassment in the fighting game community – focusing on an incident at a Capcom event which features a team leader named Aris claiming that sexual harassment in the fighting games is right and shouldn’t be removed or you’d kill the community. We have a few choice words on the subject (fueled by tequila).
